In its default state, WeatherTracker only gets data for Washington, DC. In order to make it more useful, you can add support for your favorite cities from a list of over 5800 cities worldwide. To reduce network traffic and loads on the weather server, please limit yourself to a maximum of three cities. Every effort is made to keep the list of supported cities up to date with what is being offered on the weather server. If a particular city is not supported by WeatherTracker, then chances are that the city is also not available on the server.
To add or remove cities to be displayed, choose City List…from the Edit menu. This will bring up a new window where you can select cities to add or remove. Start with the Region popup menu and select your region of interest. The Country popup menu will change according to the selected region. Likewise, select your country of interest, and the State/Province menu will change accordingly. Some countries with large numbers of supported cities have those cities separated alphabetically into subgroups. If there are no subgroups within the selected country, the State/Province popup menu will be dimmed. Use the City popup menu to select the city you wish to add, and click the Add button to add it. To remove a city, select it from the Current Cities popup menu and click the Remove button. When you are done, click the OK button. WeatherTracker will then contact the server to get current information for each of the cities you selected.
